All entry fees + pot splash paid out as prizes to the top 3. $100 pot splash and top 4 paid if 16 or more players show up!\nThis tournament will use one of five different formats. The format for a given month will be announced at least two weeks in advance on the tournament’s Facebook event page. All but one of the five formats should earn a tournament grading percentage (TGP) of at least 50%. In addition\, the formats will be setup to keep the tournament duration reasonable.\nFB Event page: https://www.facebook.com/events/1610373619437198/1731126564028569/\n#1) Group Matchplay: This qualifying format features five rounds of 3-player and 4-player games. Finals will accommodate 4 to 8 players and will consist of one or two rounds\, with each round consisting of 2 to 4 matchplay games. If there are at least 16 players\, then finals will include eight players; otherwise\, finals will include 4 players.\nExpected TGP is 56% to 72%\, with the higher number coming when there are 8 players in the finals.\n#2) Max Matchplay (partial round robin): This qualifying format features ten rounds of head-to-head (one-on-one) games. The finals format will be the same as for the Group Matchplay format.\nExpected TGP is the same as for Group Matchplay (56% to 72%\, depending upon number of players).\n#3) Best Game (Herb style): This qualifying format features single-player games\, with players attempting to earn the highest scores possible on each of 17 different machines in a 3 hour period. Entry fee (plus coin drop) allows each player to make up to 25 high score attempts. No rebuys.\nFinals will take 4 to 8 players and will utilize the same format as for Group Matchplay finals.\nExpected TGP is 84% to 100%\, depending upon the number of machines available for qualifying and the number of players who show up.\n#4) Group Knockout (Fair Strikes or Progressive)\, with no separate qualifying portion. This format features primarily 3-player and 4-player games.\nExpected TGP of 56% to 64%.\n#5) 4-Strike Knockout\, head-to-head / one-on-one with no separate qualifying portion: This format likely will be used only if the number of players who show up is fewer than 8.\nExpected TGP is 44%\nAll-Ages

The buy-in is $10\, and the IFPA fees are paid for by 8-bit Arcade; therefore 100% of buy-ins will be paid out to the top 4 players. If more than 24 players participate\, the top 8 players will be paid out. \nIFPA-endorsed matchplay using “FlexTGP” format. SUMMARY:Ice Box Mixed Matchplay Tournament
DESCRIPTION:Join in for a fun and competitive event\, mixing Modern and Classic games every round! This will be a max value event\, schedule to hit 200% TGP.\nDoors open at 1PM for practice and registration.\nThe tournament starting at 1:30PM sharp.\nThere is a LIMIT of 48 players total and the registration is $10 each.\nThe Ice Box is sponsoring the IFPA fee so 100% of the registration is paid back to the top 8 winners.\nWe will have 5 rounds of qualifying with 2 games per round (balanced player and arena selection)\, one Modern game (DMD or LCD) and one Classic game (Early Solid State). Each round will be scored 5-3-2-1 for a 4-player game (5-3-1 in 3 player group) with the top 16 players making the finals (if 32 or more players total\, if less\, top 12\, if 24\, top 8 if 16 players to meet the 50% rule).\nThe finals will be groups of 4 players playing 5 games in pre-made banks (2 New and 3 Classic machines). Each game will be scored 5-3-2-1 with the top 2 players of each group moving onto the next round.\nIf the finals do not start before 7PM due to delay\, the bank will only have 4 games instead of 5 to avoid finishing too late.\nTop seed can choose their bank (bank can only be chosen once for the whole finals) and the first game position. Following game choice is based on reverse order of last game finishing position.\nAny major tie breaker to move onto the next round or for first place will be decided on a random Classic game drawn by the TD\, position will also be random.\nThis tournament will follow official IFPA rules: https://www.ifpapinball.com/rules/
