DESCRIPTION:This is a monthly pinball tournament and will be held on the 4th Saturday of each month at a different location in Kitsap county.\nTournament details:\n– The entry fee is $5. All entry fees will be paid out in full to the top 8 finishers.\n– Tik Tok’s will be splashing the pot with an additional $200!\n– Sign-ups begin at 2:00 PM and the tournament starts at 2:30 PM.\n– This tournament is worth IFPA points (WPPRs). IFPA fees will be paid by the location. If at least 16 players sign up\, this tournament will generate 104% TGP value.\nQualifying format:\n– 6 rounds of group matchplay using 4 (or 3) player groups using IFPA scoring (7-5-3-1).\n– Player pairing will be tiered Swiss\, which will start balanced and gradually start to pair people with similar points.\n– Arena draws will use matchplay.events “Balanced” setting\, which attempts to maximize the number of unique machines played.\n– In the event of a tie to make finals\, the tie-breaker will be determined by the player with the most 1st place finishes\, followed by the most 2nd place finishes\, etc.\nFinals format:\n– The top 8 players (4 if fewer than 16 in qualifying) will advance to a Double Elimination bracket playing best-of-3 games per round. Seeding is determined by qualifying order.\n– The first 2 machines will be selected by the higher seed using a “bank” system. These first 2 games may be played simultaneously (top seed is player 1 on game 1 and player 2 on game 2). If one player wins both games\, they have won the round and advance to the next.\n– Otherwise\, the lower seed chooses a 3rd game (any machine that isn’t currently being played) to decide the winner of the round.\n– The loser moves down to the “losers” bracket or is eliminated if already playing in the “losers” bracket.\n– For rounds after round 1\, the top seed (original seed from qualifying) of each matchup must choose a bank they have not chosen (or defer)\, unless all other banks are being played. Waiting for other games to finish will not be allowed.\n– Winner and loser brackets will run concurrently\, and all matchups should be started as soon as both players have finished their previous round.\nRunaway score rule may be enforced by tournament director during qualifying rounds if a game is playing long. In this situation\, the player with the runaway score will be asked to drain their remaining balls. DESCRIPTION:This tournament takes place the fourth Tuesday of every month. The buy-in is $10\, and the IFPA fees are paid for by 8-bit Arcade; therefore 100% of buy-ins will be paid out to the top 4 players. If more than 24 players participate\, the top 8 players will be paid out. \nIFPA-endorsed matchplay using “FlexTGP” format. If there are less than 16 players we will use our Double Matchplay format to maximize TGP. With 16+ players\, we will play the more typical five rounds of matchplay for qualifying. After qualifying there will be a multi-matchplay finals for either the top 4 if there are <16 participants\, or the top 8 if there are 16+. \nSign ups are at 7pm\, and start is at 7:30. All entry fees + pot splash paid out as prizes to the top 3. $100 pot splash and top 4 paid if 16 or more players show up!\nAll-Ages\nThis tournament will use one of five different formats. The format for a given month will be announced at least two weeks in advance on the tournament’s Facebook event page.\nhttps://www.facebook.com/events/1610373619437198/1610373649437195\nAll but one of the five formats should earn a tournament grading percentage (TGP) of at least 50%. In addition\, the formats will be setup to keep the tournament duration reasonable.\n#1) Group Matchplay: This qualifying format features five rounds of 3-player and 4-player games. Finals will accommodate 4 to 8 players and will consist of one or two rounds\, with each round consisting of 2 to 4 matchplay games. If there are at least 16 players\, then finals will include eight players; otherwise\, finals will include 4 players.\nExpected TGP is 56% to 72%\, with the higher number coming when there are 8 players in the finals.\n#2) Max Matchplay (partial round robin): This qualifying format features ten rounds of head-to-head (one-on-one) games. The finals format will be the same as for the Group Matchplay format.\nExpected TGP is the same as for Group Matchplay (56% to 72%\, depending upon number of players).\n#3) Best Game (Herb style): This qualifying format features single-player games\, with players attempting to earn the highest scores possible on each of 17 different machines in a 3 hour period. Entry fee (plus coin drop) allows each player to make up to 25 high score attempts. No rebuys.\nFinals will take 4 to 8 players and will utilize the same format as for Group Matchplay finals.\nExpected TGP is 84% to 100%\, depending upon the number of machines available for qualifying and the number of players who show up.\n#4) Group Knockout (Fair Strikes or Progressive)\, with no separate qualifying portion. This format features primarily 3-player and 4-player games.\nExpected TGP of 56% to 64%.\n#5) 4-Strike Knockout\, head-to-head / one-on-one with no separate qualifying portion: This format likely will be used only if the number of players who show up is fewer than 8.\nExpected TGP is 44%
