There will be a silent auction featuring delicious bottles of Kansas City BBQ sauce\, all proceeds going to WCFB. \nPre-tourney Info:\nSign ups will open at 6:30pm\, and the tournament will begin at 7:00pm. Buy-in will be $10; $1 of that pays for IFPA-endorsement; $1 goes to beverages and snacks. Any leftover amenity money will be donated to charity.\nThe cap for the SSPC Pre-tourney is 48 players. The minimum number of participants for this tournament to take place is 16 players. Qualifying will be five rounds of matchplay with two games per round. The top eight players will move on to a multi-matchplay semi-final\, then the top four will play a multi-matchplay final. Each final round will consist of a bank of four games; the top seed will have bank or player order choice. There will be NO RAFFLE!\nPRE-REGISTRATION INFO:\nPre-registration for this tournament will open Sunday July 16th at noon. Instead of a mad scramble\, we will take pre-registration requests via email for 24 hours and then form a lottery if we have more registrants than spots. If you were on the waitlist for the Spring Kitten\, you will get dibs\, but you still need to pre-register. You may sign up in groups of two people if you wish – so if one of you make it in both of you will. I will make another post with this info closer to the pre-reg date. There will be around 15-16 holes in qualifying. Time slots will be available Friday\, Saturday\, and some limited availability on Sunday – these spots will be reserved for traveling players for a short time. If we get at least 64 participants\, we will take 32 players into Sunday’s final.\nThe final will be matchplay with hybrid pingolf/matchplay scoring. Players will be organized into groups based on qualifying seed; the top seed in each group will have choice of bank or position. Each group will play four games\, then the top two from each group will advance to the next round of playoffs.\nIf we can take 32 players into the final\, we estimate around 48 TGP (192%) for this tournament. DESCRIPTION:South Sound Pinball is proud to present the South Sound Pingolf Championship Weekend! Richie Terry and Ashley Weaver are hosting a matchplay pre-tourney AND a pingolf extravaganza at Richie’s house in Kent\, WA\, from August 18th to 20th. We will be raising funds for the White Center Food Bank (WCFB) with a few fun charity elements at the event. There will be a silent auction featuring delicious bottles of Kansas City BBQ sauce\, all proceeds going to WCFB. There will be NO RAFFLE!\nPRE-REGISTRATION INFO:\nPre-registration for this tournament will open Sunday July 16th at noon. Instead of a mad scramble\, we will take pre-registration requests via email for 24 hours and then form a lottery if we have more registrants than spots. If you were on the waitlist for the Spring Kitten\, you will get dibs\, but you still need to pre-register. You may sign up in groups of two people if you wish – so if one of you make it in both of you will. I will make another post with this info closer to the pre-reg date. There will be around 15-16 holes in qualifying. Time slots will be available Friday\, Saturday\, and some limited availability on Sunday – these spots will be reserved for traveling players for a short time. If we get at least 64 participants\, we will take 32 players into Sunday’s final.\nThe final will be matchplay with hybrid pingolf/matchplay scoring. Players will be organized into groups based on qualifying seed; the top seed in each group will have choice of bank or position. Each group will play four games\, then the top two from each group will advance to the next round of playoffs.\nIf we can take 32 players into the final\, we estimate around 48 TGP (192%) for this tournament. (This depends on player performance on the qualifying course.)\n*Buy-in is $40; your buy-in pays your IFPA fee\, a portion of the trophy purchase\, and then the remainder will go into the pot. DESCRIPTION:Just The Tap’s Twice Monthly Pinball Tournament: Every First and Third Sunday! \nRegistration will open at 5pm\, with the tournament beginning at 5:30 p.m. The entry fee is $5 (plus coin drop)\, with a $100 pot splash that is provided by Just The Tap and Waterland Arcade. All entry fees + pot splash paid out as prizes to the top 3.\nAnd\, Waterland pays your $1 / per-player IFPA fee. \nThis tournament will use one of 6 different formats. The format for a given month will be announced at least two weeks in advance on the tournament’s Facebook event page. All but one of the five formats should earn a tournament grading percentage (TGP) of at least 50%. In addition\, the formats will be setup to keep the tournament duration reasonable. https://www.facebook.com/events/719626319920224/719645023251687/ \n#1) Group Double Matchplay: This qualifying format features four rounds of 3-player and 4-player games\, with each round being played on a bank of two games\, a modern and a classic. With fewer than 16 players\, qualifying will go for 5 founds. Finals will follow the same modern + classic format\, but with two banks per round.\nExpected TGP is 112% (8 to 15 players) or 128% (16+ players). \n#2) Group Matchplay: This qualifying format features five rounds of 3-player and 4-player games. Finals will accommodate 4 to 8 players and will consist of one or two rounds\, with each round consisting of 2 to 4 matchplay games. If there are at least 16 players\, then finals will include eight players; otherwise\, finals will include 4 players.\nIf 20 or fewer players show up\, we may choose to alternate rounds of moderns with rounds of classics in order to allow time for more rounds to be played (to earn more WPPR points).\nExpected TGP is 56% to 72%\, with the higher number coming when there are 8 players in the finals. \n#3) Max Matchplay (partial round robin): This qualifying format features ten rounds of head-to-head (one-on-one) games. The finals format will be the same as for the Group Matchplay format.\nExpected TGP is the same as for Group Matchplay (56% to 72%\, depending upon number of players). \n#4) Best Game (Herb style): This qualifying format features single-player games\, with players attempting to earn the highest scores possible on each of 15 different machines in a 3 hour period. Entry fee (plus coin drop) allows each player to make up to 20 high score attempts. No rebuys.\nFinals will take 4 to 8 players and will utilize the same format as for Group Matchplay finals.\nExpected TGP is 84% to 100%\, depending upon the number of machines available for qualifying and the number of players who show up. \n#5) Group Knockout (Fair Strikes or Progressive)\, with no separate qualifying portion.
