DESCRIPTION:Just The Tap’s Twice Monthly Pinball Tournament: Every First and Third Sunday! \nRegistration will open at 5pm\, with the tournament beginning at 5:30 p.m. The entry fee is $5 (plus coin drop)\, with a $100 pot splash that is provided by Just The Tap and Waterland Arcade. All entry fees + pot splash paid out as prizes to the top 3.\nAnd\, Waterland pays your $1 / per-player IFPA fee. \nThis tournament will use one of 6 different formats. The format for a given month will be announced at least two weeks in advance on the tournament’s Facebook event page. All but one of the five formats should earn a tournament grading percentage (TGP) of at least 50%. In addition\, the formats will be setup to keep the tournament duration reasonable. https://www.facebook.com/events/719626319920224/719645023251687/ \n#1) Group Double Matchplay: This qualifying format features four rounds of 3-player and 4-player games\, with each round being played on a bank of two games\, a modern and a classic. With fewer than 16 players\, qualifying will go for 5 founds. Finals will follow the same modern + classic format\, but with two banks per round.\nExpected TGP is 112% (8 to 15 players) or 128% (16+ players). \n#2) Group Matchplay: This qualifying format features five rounds of 3-player and 4-player games. Finals will accommodate 4 to 8 players and will consist of one or two rounds\, with each round consisting of 2 to 4 matchplay games. If there are at least 16 players\, then finals will include eight players; otherwise\, finals will include 4 players.\nIf 20 or fewer players show up\, we may choose to alternate rounds of moderns with rounds of classics in order to allow time for more rounds to be played (to earn more WPPR points).\nExpected TGP is 56% to 72%\, with the higher number coming when there are 8 players in the finals. \n#3) Max Matchplay (partial round robin): This qualifying format features ten rounds of head-to-head (one-on-one) games. The finals format will be the same as for the Group Matchplay format.\nExpected TGP is the same as for Group Matchplay (56% to 72%\, depending upon number of players). \n#4) Best Game (Herb style): This qualifying format features single-player games\, with players attempting to earn the highest scores possible on each of 15 different machines in a 3 hour period. Entry fee (plus coin drop) allows each player to make up to 20 high score attempts. No rebuys.\nFinals will take 4 to 8 players and will utilize the same format as for Group Matchplay finals.\nExpected TGP is 84% to 100%\, depending upon the number of machines available for qualifying and the number of players who show up. \n#5) Group Knockout (Fair Strikes or Progressive)\, with no separate qualifying portion. This format features primarily 3-player and 4-player games.\nExpected TGP of 56% to 64%. \n#6) 4-Strike Knockout\, head-to-head / one-on-one with no separate qualifying portion: This format likely will be used only if the number of players who show up is fewer than 8.\nExpected TGP is 44%

Over all for the different tournaments\, that is a total of over 64 cards (minimum guaranteed) for the series (>$1\,400 of free entries awarded)! Over $2\,000 with cash\, raffle and swag prizes. \nEach tournament has the following guaranteed cash and free card entries payout for top 4\, 1st 2 Open entry card & $20\, 2nd 2 Open entry card & $15\, 3rd 1 Open entry card & $10 & 4th 1 entry card & $5. For every 5 additional players starting from 35 players\, 1 Open entry card will be added to next finisher.\nALSO\, for each tournament\, the top WOMEN will win a Women tournament entry card and the top ROOKIE (above IFPA 1\,000 rank on day of event) will win a High stake card. Players will be able to reserve a tee-off time starting a week before the event.\n• Every machine will be set to 5-ball play\, and will list a target score. Reach the target score in 1 ball for a hole in one. Reach it in 2 balls\, then get a score of 2 strokes\, and so on. If the target score is not reached after 5 balls\, then earn a stroke score of 6 to 7\, depending on how close to the target score reached. The score ranges (0-50% and 50-100% of score) will be shown on a note on the backglass.\n• When a player reaches their target score or their game ends\, they should raise their hand to call over the scorekeeper to verify and record the score.\n• Extra balls can be played\, and counts as an extension of the current ball being played. Thus if a player earns an extra ball on ball 2\, and during that ball 2 they reach the target\, they get a score of 2.\n• When a target score is reached\, the player stops playing and informs the scorekeeper of the number of strokes it took them. All subsequent balls for that player will be plunged.\n• Scores on each machine will be tabulated. The players are ranked from lowest to highest score\, with lowest score being declared winner at the end of the event.\n• TOP 16 FINALS at 6 PM\, players will play in a four-player seven-strike progressive-strike tournament\, using Pingolf scoring.\n• During this round\, players are assigned to a machine (hole). Scoring is the same as during qualifying round. The winner of the game gets no strikes. The loser of the game two strikes. 2nd and 3rd in a 4-player game\, or just 2nd in a 3-player game\, will get one strike. In case multiple players are tied for number of strokes on a hole\, the tied players only move on to the next hole and play a 3-ball game. If a player doesn’t reach target score\, they still get a score of 6 through 7. If there is still a tie\, tied players move to next game\, and begin the hole-in-one challenge: If one of players gets a hole-in-one and other player(s) doesn’t\, that player wins. If no player gets a hole in one\, highest score wins. If both players get hole in one\, they move on to next machine and repeat this hole-in-one challenge until someone does not get a hole-in-one.\nPlayers must show up to at least 15 minutes before their scheduled tee-off time and pay their $10 entry fee\, or may lose their reserved tee-off time to someone on the Standby list. Registration closes once all tee-off times are filled. DESCRIPTION:This tournament is a lead up to the 2023 NW Pinball Championships which happens on September 8-10 at the Lynnwood Bowl & Skate. This is mostly a sold out event but you can still win entries at the pre-tournaments!  https://www.nwpinballchamps.com/ \nEach pre-tournament will have a guaranteed minimum 8 free entry cards (6 for the Open\, 1 for Women and 1 for High stake event). Over all for the different tournaments\, that is a total of over 64 cards (minimum guaranteed) for the series (>$1\,400 of free entries awarded)! Over $2\,000 with cash\, raffle and swag prizes. \nEach tournament has the following guaranteed cash and free card entries payout for top 4\, 1st 2 Open entry card & $20\, 2nd 2 Open entry card & $15\, 3rd 1 Open entry card & $10 & 4th 1 entry card & $5. For every 5 additional players starting from 35 players\, 1 Open entry card will be added to next finisher.\nALSO\, for each tournament\, the top WOMEN will win a Women tournament entry card and the top ROOKIE (above IFPA 1\,000 rank on day of event) will win a High stake card. Each final round will be another 4 games using Multi-Play format (IFPA grading this tournament at 64% value).\nThe qualifier Match Play format will be 5 rounds of 4 player’s games (scored 7/5/3/1 or 7/4/1 for 3 player group).\nAt the end of 5 rounds\, the 8 players (or top 16) with the highest amount of point will move on to the top 8 round (semi-finals).\nFinal rounds will use the Multi Play format\, Each of the two 4 player group in the semi-finals will start a 4 player game on a bank of 4 contiguous machines (Scored 7/5/3/1). At the end of the round of Multi-Play the TOP 2 players of each group will move into the final 4. Top 4 finals will be played using the same principle as above with one group of 4 players starting 4 four players game to decide final ranking.\nTie breaker for qualifying will be most number of 1st\, 2nd… If still tied\, higher ranking in previous rank will prevail.\nTie breaker in finals will be most number of 1st\, 2nd… for the round. Admission is normally $15 but for tournament players it will be discounted to $10\, and this replaces coin drop no quarters necessary leave them at home.\nPlayers pay $5 buy in which goes to the pot like normal.\n…\nPlease come and join us for the “Pinbrawl on the Waterfront” tournament\, at Waterland Arcade near the waterfront in Des Moines\, on the 2nd Saturday of each month!\nRegistration will open at 7pm\, with the tournament beginning at 7:30 p.m. The entry fee is $15 (includes $10 to Waterland for unlimited pinball play and $5 to the pot)\, with a $50 pot splash from Waterland Arcade. All entry fees + pot splash paid out as prizes to the top 3.\n$50 pot splash by Waterland Arcade. $100 for 20\, $150 for 25 players!\nWaterland pays player IFPA fee.\nThis tournament will use one of 6 different formats.
