SUMMARY:26th Annual Shorty's Tournament
DESCRIPTION:The tradition continues\, Shorty’s annual event is back for its 26th edition!\nEntry fee $20 per player\, spectators free\nGrand prize will be a **mystery** pinball machine (to be announced on game day) as well as 100% of the entry fee paid out to FINALISTS!\nAlso TOP 8 B finalist (1\,000 IFPA and above)! 24 people make finals!\nTournament director: Germain Mariolle and Co-TD Lonnie Langford.\nHosted by Belltown’s famous Dwayne\nIFPA EVENT!\nSunday 12th of November\, Doors open at 11am for registration and practice\, sign CLOSE at 11:50AM and tournament starting at NOON.\n80 PLAYERS LIMIT\, FIRST COME FIRST SERVE.\nFor the qualifying part\, we will have a 4 player style Matchplay qualifying (Balanced pairing\, 7-5-3-1 scoring\, 7-4-1 in case of 3 players group\, game and position on game chosen at random). We will run UP TO 8 Matchplay rounds (less if attendance is putting us behind schedule\, no qualifying round would start after 7:15PM).\nThe top 16 players (Tie breaker based on most 1st\, 2nd\, 3rd and 4th place finishes in that order\, if needed ranking from previous rounds will be used) at the end of the qualifying would move on to a seeded Head-to-Head single elimination bracket best out of 3 finals!\nGame will be chosen at random with position of play chosen by the winner of a coin flip for the 1st game. Loser of the 1st game then gets to choose position for the next match in the best of 3. First person to win 2 match moves onto the next round. The format continues until the winner is decided.\nGrand finals will be played on the prize machine.\nIn parallel we will have a TOP 8 B finals following the same format. Players with an IFPA ranking of 1\,000+. TOP 4 B players get cash prizes.\nPRIZES:\nA PINBALL MACHINE FOR THE WINNER! As well as CASH PRIZES TO all 16 FINALIST PLACE and as usual lots of raffles!\n1st: 21% of pot + Machine + Plaque\n2nd: 16% of pot + Plaque\n3rd: 13% of pot + Plaque\n4th: 10% of pot\n5th-8th:5% of pot for each player\n9th-16th: 2.5% of pot for each player\n(POT will have IFPA fee taken out\, payout may be rounded up/down)\nB Finals:\n1st: $50\n2nd: $30\n3rd: $20\n4th: $10\nTournament to follow official IFPA/PAPA rules below EXCEPT when local TD need to adapt rules based on location/events…\nRunaway Score Rule is in effect\, see NWPAS satellite page for details http://nwpas.wapinball.net/satellite.html\nDetails of the tournament may change at any time.
