DESCRIPTION:Washington State Match Play Tourney\, Open to All\, All Ages\, 64 player limit\nTo enable players to watch the State Championships while competing in their own tournament\, there will be a co-located Match-Play tournament that is open to all. \nRegister and pay Entry Fee ($10) by 2:45pm. Doors open Noon.This tournament will begin at approximately 3:00pm\, after the quarter finals (round of 8 of the state championships begins.\nPlayers can practice on machines (pay-for-play) prior to the start of the tournament. However\, all players are asked to immediately give up their game if there is a state championship match waiting on that particular machine. \nEach round\, for 6 rounds\, players will be grouped into 4-player games (possibly some 3-player games)\, 7-5-3-1 scoring in 4-player games\, 7-4-1 in 3-player games. \nWith 21 or more players\, top 8 players after qualifying move on to semi-finals. First tie-breaker is number of 1st place finishers\, then number of second place finishers\, etc. If still a tie for a key position of who moves on\, then a one-game tie-breaker is played on a randomly selected machine among the tied players. Ties that affect seeding only will be broken randomly. With 20 or less players\, top 4 move on straight to finals. \nSemi-finals played as two groups of four\, each group playing three games (2 classics and 1 modern)\, with 4-2-1-0 scoring. The two players with most points move on. In case of a tie to move on\, there will be a one-game tie-breaker among tied players on the 1st machine of the players’ bank in this round. \nFinals is again played as three games (2 classics and 1 modern) with 4-2-1-0 scoring. They are sponsoring the IFPA leaving 100% of the registration fees to be paid out to players.\nThis year we will have TWO finals\, top 24 main finals and a B Division final for the top 8 players not making the finals that are 1\,000 IFPA ranked.\nThe event will now be held across multiple days\, qualifiers will run starting Friday February 28th until Sunday 2nd. Players will compete by playing on 10 machines\, with up to each machine top 2 scores counting\, for an overall top 10 scores toward qualifying.\nQualifying will be open:Friday: 5-11PMSaturday: 1-11PMSunday: 10-4PM\nThe Ice Box Arcade also host their regular weekly tournament on Friday night which has in average more than 50+ players.\nAs part of the Emerald City cup weekend\, join us for more pinball competition with the Emerald City Mixed Group Knockout on Saturday evening.We will be mixing Modern and Classic game every other round in a 3 strikes group knock out even! Group of 4/3 people\, with bottom 2 players getting a strike in group of 4 and only last player in group of 3.Registration starts at 5:30PM. We are keeping it simple\, just pay at the door\, first come first serve (max 140 players). With the open format type\, there is no restriction\, just make sure you have enough time to play at least your first 10 games.\nEntry fee is $20 (+ game coin drop) for your registration and 10 entries. Maximum of 40 entries\, with up to 3 rebuy\, $20/10 entries.\nIf players are tied for a qualifying spot at the end of the qualifying\, a full tie breaker game selected by the TD will be played\, the order will be random.For the finals top seed of group (based on qualifying seed) can chose bank of game or position.for game 2 and 3\, order is chosen by reverse game finish. 4th player finishing score on game 1 chose first position on game 2\, etc…Banks pick cannot be repeated in the tournament.If players are tied at the end of a playoff round\, the tie breaker will be decided by higher number of 1st place then 2nd\, 3rd and 4th in this playoff round. If players are still tied a full game tie breaker will be played on the “old” game from their round bank.For the final 4\, any tie breaker will be broken with a full game tie breaker that will be played on the “old” game from their round bank.\nPlayoff rounds will begin immediately after qualifying end on Sunday around 4:15PM. DESCRIPTION:We’d like to invite you the largest pinball and arcade convention in the Pacific Northwest June 6-8th\, 2025 at the Greater Tacoma Convention Center!
