SW2 will take place at Georgetown Pizza and Arcade from May 5th through 7th. Get your women’s pinball weekend started early with Babes on Thursday the 4th at Adda!\nMay 4th: Babes in Pinland NWPAS Satellite event (at Add-a-Ball Arcade!)\nMay 5-7th: SW2 (Seattle Women’s Super Weekend) Best Game (at GPA) NO PLAYER CAP\nMay 6th: SW2 Fair Strikes (at GPA) 40 PLAYER CAP\nThis listing is for the Best Game portion of that tournament.\nThis open qualifying best game tournament will take place at Georgetown Pizza and Arcade from May 5th to May 7th. Registration is open to female-identifying and non-binary participants of all ages (note: GPA does not allow customers under 21 after 8:00pm\, so there is a chance that the finals could run past that time on Sunday\, effectively removing under 21 participants from play.)\n$10 cash buy-in (due at the time of registration) includes 12 entries to use on six machines over the 20-hour qualification period (split over three days\, schedule below) Your top two entries per game (over six machines\, so 12 entries) will count towards your standings. Re-buys will be $10 for four more entries\, so make your first twelve count! (Thanks to Seattle Pinball Services for the format help!) You may put up entries during Saturday’s Fair Strikes event\, as long as doing so does not make you late for a match.\nQualifying schedule:\nFriday May 5th\, 4pm – 11 pm\nSaturday May 6th\, 1pm – 11pm (FYI: Women’s Fair Strike begins at 2pm)\nSunday May 7th\, 1pm – 4pm\nAt the end of qualifying on Sunday the top 24 players (if attendance allows\, otherwise top 16) will move on to a PAPA-style matchplay final with three games per round. If 24 players\, the top 8 will receive a bye through round one. Top seed in each group will have choice of bank or player order. Scoring will be 4-2-1-0. Top two in each group will move on to the next round.\n100% of buy-ins will be paid out to the prize pool!\nTGP info: If run as listed above\, open qualifying will achieve 116% TGP. If we are able to bring 24 into the Sunday finals\, the tourney will earn another 21 meaningful games (or 84% TGP.) DESCRIPTION:The NWPAS Satellite Pinball Tournament Series is a promotional tour of local establishments in Seattle and the Pacific Northwest. Registration closes approximately 10 minutes before listed time; earlier if it fills up.\nTonight:\nThis will be a group knockout tournament in which players are arranged in groups of 4 when possible\, but occasionally groups of 3\, and with five or less players remaining\, possibly group of 2.\nSimilar to 3-Strike Knockout\, except for how strikes are awarded:\n• A player continues to play until they get 8 (or more) strikes\, at which time they are eliminated.\n• Winner of the game does not get a strike\, 2nd place gets one strike\, 3rd place gets two strikes and 4th place gets three strikes. \nOnce all players remaining have won packages\, the tournament ends. May 15th update: Reserve your tee time online at https://tinyurl.com/memorial-day-masters-2023\n• Every machine will be set to 5-ball play\, and will list a target score. Reach the target score in 1 ball for a hole in one. Reach it in 2 balls\, then get a score of 2 strokes\, and so on. If the target score is not reached after 5 balls\, then earn a stroke score of 6 to 7\, depending on how close to the target score reached. The score ranges (0-50% and 50-100% of score) will be shown on a note on the backglass.\n• When a player reaches their target score or their game ends\, they should raise their hand to call over the scorekeeper to verify and record the score.\n• Extra balls can be played\, and counts as an extension of the current ball being played. Thus if a player earns an extra ball on ball 2\, and during that ball 2 they reach the target\, they get a score of 2.\n• When a target score is reached\, the player stops playing and informs the scorekeeper of the number of strokes it took them. All subsequent balls for that player will be plunged.\n• Scores on each machine will be tabulated. The players are ranked from lowest to highest score\, with lowest score being declared winner at the end of the event.\n• TOP 16 FINALS at 6 PM\, players will play in a four-player five-strike fair-strike tournament\, using Pingolf scoring.\n• During this round\, players are assigned to a machine (hole). Scoring is the same as during qualifying round. The winner of the game gets no strikes. The loser of the game two strikes. 2nd and 3rd in a 4-player game\, or just 2nd in a 3-player game\, will get one strike. In case multiple players are tied for number of strokes on a hole\, the tied players only move on to the next hole and play a 3-ball game. If a player doesn’t reach target score\, they still get a score of 6 through 7. If there is still a tie\, tied players move to next game\, and begin the hole-in-one challenge: If one of players gets a hole-in-one and other player(s) doesn’t\, that player wins. If no player gets a hole in one\, highest score wins. If both players get hole in one\, they move on to next machine and repeat this hole-in-one challenge until someone does not get a hole-in-one. \nPlayers must show up to at least 15 minutes before their scheduled tee-off time and pay their $10 entry fee\, or may lose their reserved tee-off time to someone on the Standby list. Registration closes once all tee-off times are filled.
