South Sound Pingolf Championship Weekend

South Sound Pinball is proud to present the South Sound Pingolf Championship Weekend! Richie Terry and Ashley Weaver are hosting a matchplay pre-tourney AND a pingolf extravaganza at Richie’s house in Kent, WA, from August 18th to 20th. We will be raising funds for the White Center Food Bank (WCFB) with a few fun charity elements at the event. There will be a silent auction featuring delicious bottles of Kansas City BBQ sauce, all proceeds going to WCFB. There will be NO RAFFLE!
PRE-REGISTRATION INFO:
Pre-registration for this tournament will open Sunday July 16th at noon. Instead of a mad scramble, we will take pre-registration requests via email for 24 hours and then form a lottery if we have more registrants than spots. If you were on the waitlist for the Spring Kitten, you will get dibs, but you still need to pre-register. You may sign up in groups of two people if you wish – so if one of you make it in both of you will. I will make another post with this info closer to the pre-reg date. Feel free to email with questions about the event, but any emails received before July 16th at noon will not count as a pre-registration request.

“Players will register for a time slot to complete their qualifying round of pingolf at Richie Terry’s house in Kent. There will be around 15-16 holes in qualifying. Time slots will be available Friday, Saturday, and some limited availability on Sunday – these spots will be reserved for traveling players for a short time. If we get at least 64 participants, we will take 32 players into Sunday’s final.
The final will be matchplay with hybrid pingolf/matchplay scoring. Players will be organized into groups based on qualifying seed; the top seed in each group will have choice of bank or position. Each group will play four games, then the top two from each group will advance to the next round of playoffs.
If we can take 32 players into the final, we estimate around 48 TGP (192%) for this tournament. (This depends on player performance on the qualifying course.)
*Buy-in is $40; your buy-in pays your IFPA fee, a portion of the trophy purchase, and then the remainder will go into the pot. Due to the spread out nature of qualifying, there will be no meal included with your buy-in.
The finals for this event will be streamed on Twitch by South Sound Pinball.

For Friday’s SSPC Pre-tourney matchplay, $10:
$1 for IFPA fees
$1 for snacks/beverages
$8 to pot
For Saturday and Sunday’s South Sound Pingolf Championship, $40;
$1 for IFPA fees
$1 for game upkeep
$1-2 for trophy
$1 for amenities (snacks/sodas)
$3 for charity (White Center Food Bank)
Your SSPC $40 buy-in includes one attempt on our “17th Hole Challenge” – additional attempts can be purchased as well at the event for $1. 100% of proceeds from the 17th Hole will go to WCFB.
